Julien Vallee + Tactile

Here is work that I found by Julien Valle while he was taking a class with Sagmeister (one of my favorites). I found this after I found this book, Tangible and Tactile...perhaps some new purchases. Valle designed the book cover for Tactile, and lots of other cool stuff...check it out!

bright colorz

This is my new obsession! Color Collective is a blog that takes inspiring images and creates color palettes out of them. It has been a huge inspiration for me lately! This particular image inspired me through not only the color, but the outfit. How awesome is it? Purple and yellow shoes? Yes please. So I went to the fashion designer's website.

How cool is this stuff? Check more out here.

Some nice letterpress posters found at keep calm.

BOOM

When I was in Amsterdam, there was an Irma Boom book exhibition at the University of Amsterdam. These were the mini books that Boom designed to show an overview of her books. It came in a small white cardboard box. I love it!!

im baaack!

Wow, it's been quite awhile since I've blogged. I've been home from Europe for a couple weeks and have been busy with friends and family, but I've finally realized its time to get down to business and make way for the real world. No more day dreaming in Parisian parks or Amsterdam coffee shops, it is time to start the job search.

It really is not a fun thing to do. The job search I mean. I've been reading Adrian Shaughnessy's "How to be a graphic designer without losing your soul", and I've gotten a lot of insight as to how this process really works. I find it best to take advice from designers themselves. Design Sponge also wrote a piece on hiring interns that was actually pretty insightful. I am looking for inspiration where ever I can find it. Any ideas??
